Mike Gill interviewed about TEDCO leadership

Mike Gill, Maryland’s former commerce secretary, echoed Smyth’s concerns. Gill served as a TEDCO board member during his tenure at the Department of Commerce and said he was impressed with what Davis and Jones were able to accomplish there. He was disappointed to see how legislators reacted to the audit and said even when he was a board member he felt state officials were “overbearing” and micromanaged the organization. He said he doubts TEDCO will be able to operate at the same level without those top leaders.
